you will pay for it on the other side when it blows up. Haven't met a person yet with more the 6k on one without a blow up.

Didn't really ride it, did one session on South Course but I couldn't take myself away from the 848 long enough, plus Grand / Full / North woulda been no fun. The bike needs an oil change, I wanna check the valves, get some fresh rubber on it, etc.... but some NESRians enjoyed riding it around the pits and popping some wheelies on it

No, it literally overflowed just a bit! I looked up and saw the price...

For the record, I thought it was indicative of a *good* thing...

If I am not mistaken scottieducati bought the SM610 off of scottg22. The SM610 is a completely different beast then the SM450/510 variant that seems to have the pre 6K blown motor issues your are refering to. I am an owner of a SM510 that has blown up so I know what you are saying but I would be willing to bet that the SM610 will last him a while and he will have alot of fun on it. Admittedly it wont be the same as the SM450/510 versions on the track but I bet the smile is still pretty wide on anyone who rides the thing. I mean people that ride DRZ400s (stock ones not modified ones Manny) have shit eating grins when they get off of them at the track.

We have the 07's which are showing to be the most reliable motor yet. The 05's have the worst record followed closely by the 06's. The 610's are rock solid so far.

Re: My first fill up on the Husqvarna...

Yeah she's an 07 and a 610, from what I hear it's supposedly the better of recent years.... and built to be more reliable / streetable than the 510. It's gonna be my commuter bike, which I took to work for the first time today and had a freakin blast!!

My license will not be long for this world I fear...

If they'd start making em so they don't blow up, you'd see more of them.

I used my prized 100$ bill with a serial number ending in 666 to buy my zx6r...3 weeks later I get rear ended, bikes got a few scratches but completely rideable and I'm getting 2500$ from ins!

That sucks.. I've got about 3k miles of hard use on mine, change the oil every 5 hrs and check valves every 40 hrs. Had to sand an exhaust shim after last yrs gap trip around 1500 miles. Lost the clutch line last yr, fun ride home w/out a clutch
