Any Frame Slider Installers out there?

So I just purchased an 03 600RR, but it doesn't have any frame sliders. I would like to install some, but I do not know hot to or want to attempt this install. Is there anyone experienced in this install that would like to help me or install some for me at a reasonable price? Please let me know...

Awesome! What type of slider is it? Is it brand new? If its a new one or a good one in new condition, I'd take that off your hands. How much you lookin for it? I need to register my bike this week, but maybe this weekend if you had time. How long does it take?

Any slider worth while for a 600rr will require you drill the fairing but it is very easy to do. I would recommend the Yoyodyne. They hold up very well.

a dremil with the sanding tool does a great job to cut plastic.

Yeah, with the plastic ones, the sliders actually "slide" and grind down, slowing the bike/protecting plastic. The metal ones catch on stuff, potholes/cracks in the road/whatever and can possibly catch hard enough to flip the bike and send it into a spin. So instead of just rashing up one side of the plastic, your bike goes tumbling down the road end over end smashing pieces off as it goes.

i think you can get the light up ones from lockhart phillips or maybe parts unlimited maybe even tucker rocky. any motorcycle shop should have those catalogs.

plastic sliders will also bend. billit alum doesnt, but your frame does and the engine bolt too

I know this link I'm giving you is for Honda RC-51 owners, but we'll give you the low down on Frame Slider & the install.

    http://www.rc51.org

Click on Mods on the left side, then scroll down to Frame Sliders Install.

Make sure you buy some Silly Puddy. Trust me on this one.

Is this offer still stand? I am going to try to get my fairing fixed, but afterwards I would want to install some frame sliders. Do you still have your spare set? If so, what brand is it and is it plastic?

Let me know. I would probably be doing this either this weekend of the following weekend. Thanks!

Dude. It's tough bringing yourself to purposely f*ck-up your fairings, but it's worth it. It's a bonding experience!
