Freakin somerville...

Parked my bike in a metered space in Somerville tonight... it became free at 8PM.

I parked there at 7:30PM, had no change, and took a chance.

Yep, they got me.. they came by right before 8 and ticketed almost the entire lot.

That's a given that you're going to get tagged just before it turns free

Not really too pissed off but no it is not a given IME that they are going to come around and ticket everyone right before it goes free... my experience is Cambridge and Somerville are REALLY bad but lots of places you can get away with parking for short bits without paying and not get ticketed..

In my town you'd have to get really unlucky to actually get caught.

Whatever it's only $20. I think I got a $50 parking ticket once in Cambridge.

Resident parking is not enforced in Somerville for motorcycles. Cambridge is also the same, I have been told. Don't park at a meter, you don't need to.
