Damp paper towel, a little elbow grease & some of this, it came right off w/o any (additional) scratches. Worked like a friggin charm

I dated a girl whom melted her boots on my exhaust, I had to scrub off the plastic off and she even made me pay for her resole.

I offered to buy Pete a right passenger foot peg so I my boot wouldn't rest on the exhaust .... Thankfully I didn't need a resole, though I would have paid for that since he bought the boots for me

well, there were pegs on both sides, I did buy her the boots in the 1st place and I ended up paying for the resole.

the net is, it was long time ago, she is no where within 500 miles from me and I'm happily married now.

    sorry .

Pete's foot no fit in boot.

I've heard that EZ-off oven cleaner works as well, but that stuff is definitely safer (both for your hands and the bike's paint). Good to know.
