Anyone willing to let me borrow a front stand for a couple days so I can change my front tire? Preferably one the uses the tree instead of the forks?

Just got cords showing this morning.

If you can't get one - I strap the bike to my rear stand, loosen all the bolts on the front wheel, and use a jack with a piece of wood or rigid foam insulation under the exhaust. Move slow and pay attention. Take the front wheel off, put the axle back in with the bolts finger tight and use a jackstand under each fork tube, or on the axle close to the forks. Good luck...

You're more than welcome to borrow one of mine if you want to make the drive down to Newport. The only time I'm up in your neck of the woods is at MotoMarket when I'm on the bike

I have a pin for the 929 head that goes with that stand if you want it.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

If the current setup wont work on the 929, that may be useful for him.

I've never used a front wheel stand to change my front tire. Have always used this technique...

Current setup will work, but the pin is smaller than the 929. It will fit but it will be lose. I'm a fan of the right tool for the job.

Using those jackstands and mickey mousing isn't the right way to work on something and always spells desaster...because i can't spell it

Then I should probably pick that up from you. Just tell me when and where.

It's either in Revere at Nazo's or in my toolbox at home. I'll take a look tomorrow.
