    o2 sensors ????

I put a new exhaust on my bike this season, and re-jetted the twins on my 01 sv650s. I dont know that much about carbs but i think i did it right. I think it is running a little lean in the higher rpm ranges, what I want to do is install an 02 sensor and meter to be able to moniter my afr on the road. Has anyone done this or do they have any suggestiones, I found a cupple sites but they wanted in the neighborhood of 500 big ones for a system. I would think that this could be done for cheeper???? Thanks for any advice.

    o2 sensors ????

    It is probably not worthwhile...

Just take it to someone and let them dyno tune it & jet it correctly.

I was thinking of doing this with my bike, because it already has O2 sensors that I've disconnected from the ECU. (Many FI bikes have them) Since they are already installed all I'd need to do is hook them up to my own circuit.

However they are not real useful for tuning, as they only work correctly in a very narrow mixture range. The ECU only uses them at "cruise" throttle/RPM settings. If you try to use them for general tuning you'll supposedly get pretty erratic results.
