Some fuckwad knocked my bike over just now. One of my roommates comes in to tell me that the bike is on its side.

Dent in the tank (), bent bar-end (just the bolt I hope), tail plastic cracked in two, scuffs on the CRG mirror.
Just called the insurance company, hopefully this will be covered by my comprehensive coverage as vandalism. Waiting for the police to file the report.
And two days ago, a friend of mine who lives about an hour and a half west of me had his and his roommates bikes knocked over. WTF is wrong with people?

does any of your bikes ever not get crashed, hit or wrecked???

glad you werent on it though..![]()
hmmmm......
No, I think all of my bikes are cursed. This one set the record of "longest time to incident," though. The last incident was that crackhead running over my SV, which was in late April of '05. So I managed to go a year and 5 months... woot woot....Originally posted by black

I can't sleep at night because of shit like this. When I was in Watertown (I see you are boston local). these shit-head-juvi-punks tipped my bike twice. At least I had a POS back then.

what you need is a proximity motorcycle alarm with machine guns and video to capture the fun when they get close and the guns send a warning shot off.
if parking is private maybe a trailer in your space?![]()
tipping a bike? this is the new fun? wtf!
maybe the ins co will total it.... what was it you wanted? r1?
Damn Eugene... sorry to hear that... again.
weren't you also talking about selling it too in about a week?

Yea... I was getting ready to sell it. Track day this next Monday, then if I didn't wreck it, it was going up for sale Tuesday.
But... maybe this can be a blessing in disguise, who knows... if I get a decent amount of $$ I might be able to break even and compensate for the $500 deductible by selling the dented tank + with the money they include for shop labor... then I may end up with a shiny new tank and tail section... I still really wish that shit hadn't happened.
they dont have acceleramoter equipt alarm systems that go off if the bike is moved over, jarred, or falls? if they do u should get one. wont stop anyone from hitting it, but if ur near by u'll know and maybe u can get a liscence palte number or dish out a good ass beating.
I've seen some with suspension sensors, so if the bike shakes enough to oscilate the suspension, it goes off. It would definitely go off in the case a bike is tipped (or rocked back & forth) since it would unload the suspension.
yeah, remember that RF900 at Suzy-Q's that time? Every time someone got within 2 feet of it, it gave a warning.Originally posted by bigred875
they have perimeter ones i have seen....everytime i walk by a bike with one and it goes off i want to kick it over
That sux Eugene .![]()

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
That sucks, being a claims adjuster myself, that is definetly covered under comprehensive. Comprehensive basically includes anything that causes damage and is not related to another "auto".
so is that considered a no fault or at fault as in wil his rates increase?
or ,something similar to a stolen bike, does nto increase his rates?
hmmmm......
wow, the fall did that much damage despite the large bar ends and frame sliders? Sheesh. It must have been thrown to the ground!
No fault - it won't effect my rates. This is considered vandalism.
I saw the adjuster yesterday, getting $1139 post-deductible. Hopefully I'll break even by doing my own labor and getting parts for cheaper...
no fault.. so how didi it go i mean anyone can( not saying you did) coudl say they saw a car hit their bike...
did you need a police report?
hmmmm......
A car hitting the bike would not be covered, since that involved another auto. That would be collission.Originally posted by black

This incident is the same as if someone were to key your car, get it... no autos involved, just assholes.
The insurance company said to file a report, so I called the PD and filed it...
his premiums may go up slighty because of the claim...but not enough to worryOriginally posted by black
