fun roads from boston to the kancamangus

I'm leaving from boston to head to the kancamangus. What would be the best route to take. I don't want to do highways the whole way, but I don't want to get stuck crawling through towns. Any suggestions?

Head out 93 up to Derry, take rt 102 to rt 107 to the lake region, then 25 to Ossipee then 16 North...

We usually head over to Weirs 1st and then cruise through the Lakes area before heading over to the Kangamangas...awesome trip each year..watch out 4 moose

I like the last line. I agree about better back roads too, I didnt want him lost haha.

Don't get killed. The kanc is covered in wet leaves and dumb tourists right now. I left Lincoln on Fri at 2pm and the McDs parking lot didn't have an open space. Way early and TONS of traffic. There is also a big craft fair in Lincoln this weekend so traffic is gonna suck through town. Be careful, I don't want to scrape you off the road.
