Gas tank help needed

I bought a used gas tank for my CBR 900rr and the cap is on it and I don't have a key. Any suggestions on how to remove the cap?

Unless you know a locksmith, I'd think you'd have to break it with a screw driver and then get another cap.

Umm, could you not just unbolt it from the tank and have the whole assembly removed?

Negative, three 3 bolts hold the assembly to the tank. The cap latchs to the inside lip of the gas tank.

plus there' usually another bolt under the cap.
