Ive read all sorts of crap about various service depts around Boston. Can anyone comment on whether its a mistake to take my bike to these guys for a first service.

If Shrewsbury is too far, try North River in Salem Mass.
Wassup Nan. Are we talking about the same place? Greater Boston Motorsports? Your Daytona is prolly at Great Bay (I guess I should have made that clear...) this is for my Suzuki.

What are they working on for you?

What do you need done Manny?

A fellow racer runs GBM. I'm sure if you have any problems a single conversation with him would get anything straightened out. He's a great guy.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Not much. Just an initial service for my DRZ. I don't think there is much to do.

My bad, I thought you were talking about Great Bay. They are working on the stuff that I mentioned on the other board
What stuff is that? You get the tank sealer peel on your bike? Seems to be hitting most of the first bikes to arrive. Had my tank swapped out on warrantee , but other then that no problems.

i know you said it was for your suzuki- but i have to say the triumph mech @ Performance is very good. He was able to get rid of the notorious headstock movement on my daytona after having the place I bought it from try 2 times.

I think I know who your talking about. there are two guys there that are awesome. They will shoot the shit with you for a long time if you have any technical questions. On THE OTHER hand. I had my bike serviced there at the first 600 miles like a dumbass and got my bike back with a nice big dent in my radiator fins from a socket wrench that the guy probably used to get the oil filter off. I would have been cool with it if they had told me. Everybody makes mistakes, BUT they didnt say Shit. I found the dent later on that day. I nice, uniformed smear in the fins going counter clockwise. LOng story short, i needed the locking leaf spring type washer that goes on the inside of the seat lock cause I lost mine when I did a F.E. mod. I told one of the cool guys there on the phone, he was apologetic. I told him to get me that part and its all good. He found one from a wrecked bike and left it for me to pick up. Not exactly an even exchange but, It was what I needed at the moment.

if you're referring to a certain lrrs racer that's been around forever as of october he wasn't affiliated w/ GBM - I pitted with him the second half of this season and he had split with them before that. I haven't spoken with him since the season ended so if something's changed I wouldn't be aware... but last I heard he was not headed back to GBM. just fyi...
