    Carbon shatters and doesn't bend...probably not the best material to use for bikes flying 50+ feet in the air.

    All depends on what resin is used and how you do the layup. Somewhere there are vids of BST carbon wheels going through testing, including getting pounded on by a machine that repeatedly drives a wedge into the rim with enough force that it bends pretty severely, then bounces back and asks for more.

    Maybe true, but I've seen BST wheels shatter first hand. Essentially nothing but an axle, rotors and tire left behind. It was not pretty.

    To be fair, there are also examples of magnesium and aluminum units letting go like a pack of stepped on saltines too.

    i remember that. it was a loudon guy too. cant remember his name.
    my initial thought was the same. someone is gonna come up short on a trick while practicing and that frame is gonna explode. i hope they do extensive testing if they ever decide to sell it
