    Best dealers parts prices

Since I'm looking to buy a new fuel gauge/sender unit, and it will most likely have to be ordered, (though some may have what I need in stock, but for a 97?-probably not) what dealers have you been to and found the best parts prices in general? Mostly in MA and NH. If you want to mention any problems in them getting you your parts in a timely fashion, feel free to mention that too, though I'm mainly looking at prices.

Contact Noel(gixxerjockey) or Sheppo, one of the two should be able to get what you need.

Thanks Johnny. I am not a Kawasaki dealer. If Noel can't help you I am sure someone can point you to a good Kawasaki dealer.

I've used Souhegan Valley Motorsports over in Milford, NH extensively. They are a Kawasaki dealership as well.

Bought my '07 zx6r there, prepped my SV650 race bike through them and just recently pretty much rebuilt the SV through them as well. Their prices have always been great when compared to the internet and the service is second to none.

    Drop them a line. 603-673-6007

I've gotten stuff from both of them, was very pleased doing business with both. Duck isn't kawi, so I'd PM Noel. He may even be able to mail the stuff to you, he did for my back protector and boots.

Not to flame....but I would never purchase from Chaplin Kawi. I know a guy who worked for him as a mechanic, and after hearing about how he treats his employees and his wife...I'd rather not support him.

    Another +1 for Noel.

That is just what I have based my opinion on. Not trying to slam the guy. I'd rather support Putnam Kawi.

    Just checked BB.
    OEM:
    gasket: $7.72.
    Sender (aka fuel gauge): $111.78
    Screw: $4.02

Return policy-20% restock fee (OEM only)
Must be returned within 15 days of delivery

Aftermarket items have 30 day reurn, no restock fee.

I've always gone OEM in my purchases, for better or worse.

I prefer to go local with NESR members who have their own business or close contacts...that's the best way to go...keeping the $$ local and/or within the NESR home team.

If you're not against coming to NH, I've had nothing but incredibly good experiences with Freedom Cycle, in Concord. Not trying to step on anyone's toes, but their parts guys (a couple of 'em in particular) go outta their way to make you happy and treat ya like I've never known a dealership to. The guy I deal with there is an old friend of my wife's family and usually beats any interwebz prices I find, gets shit within a day or two and you don't pay freight and no sales tax. If you're interested, PM me and I'll tell you who to talk to and which names to drop...

Only if they're not a bunch of dicks and treat customers fairly...same goes for any local dealers. I've pretty much bought local from GBM, but like I said...I prefer to go with NESR first, dealers second (that NESR members have good things to say about them), online third.

    Re: Best dealers parts prices

So funny thing, as it turns out, this afternoon I was searching for an obsolete Kaw part, checked with the Kaw forum sponsor, was told it was N/A, so I phoned a Boston area dealer, got a "no don't have it" (but I didn't get the time of day), then called Souhegen and they treated me right, no, they didn't have it, yes, it is obsolete and unobtanium, but the parts program showed it in stock at some other dealers, the closest being Ronnie's in New Ashford MA (new one on me), so I called Ronnie's and Aaron in parts fixed me up, about $10 less than a NOS listing on eBay, and even though it was a couple of minutes before closing time, said he would get it out UPS tonight so I'll have it tomorrow. How's that for service AND price ... and in-state?!

Now THAT'S how it should be done. Why other dealers/suppliers don't get it is beyond me. Ya want 'em coming back and have a loyal customer base. Simple enough.
