Getting a MA title for a NH bike

I bought a bike from a guy in NH. I have the title signed to me. I'd like to get a Mass title... seems like from the website (Mass RMV) I need to get an RMV1 filled out first, but I may not put any insurance on it since it is a track bike... do I need a Mass title? Can I just hold onto the signed over one?

I titled my bike without insurance. Im pretty sure you only need insurance if you are going to register it.

If you hold on to the signed title and then try to resell it, it could make a mess for the new buyer. Its the situation Im in now with my dirt bike. I cant prove that the guy that owned the bike before me paid sales tax. This means I cant get the title in my name and I cant get the bike registered for enduros. All MA really wants is the sales tax.
