Re: Getting ready for the riding season

I bought a tank bag and some touring gear. As far as maintenence for the SV goes I'll be doing the following in a month or so (parts already here):

Oil + filter change, radiator flush + fill, air filter, spark plugs, clean/lube chain again, lube anything else that seems like it needs it. New set of tires ready to go on as well. I may ride out the current set depending on how well plug held over the winter.

Other than that, I just want to RIDE!

spark plugs are on the list, but getting them checked before replacing them. is a radiator flush a typical pre-season thing?

Re: Getting ready for the riding season

don't think I've EVER had a list that long, even when combining the lists of each of the bikes in my garage.

    start bike 1
    ride snot out of it
    start bike 2
    ride snot out of it
    start bike 3
    ride snot out of it
    start bike 4
    ride snot out of it

... yup... you win.... your list is longer

Re: Getting ready for the riding season

    that's because you dont have a GSX-R
my list is is big because of the crash. needed to replace/repair parts and plastics. then some maintenance stuff like changing to semi-synth oil, new air filter, and new lid. other than that, i'm only adding a speedohealer and TRE.

My GSX-R (Not Gixxa) has NO bling. All chrome does is add weight. If anything I want to reduce weight.

Ok, it was all fun and games till you insult the spikes. I have spikes on my bike. But Im badass so I can get away with it.

(And for the record, its still all fun and games, I can take the abuse)

There is no joke funnier than putting a gay pride sticker on someones bike/car, especially if you get it somewhere they dont notice it.
Like the one George Cloony pulled on Brad Pitt and put a I heart penis sticker on his passenger door. He permanently earns my respect for that one.

Re: Getting ready for the riding season

We bought a small box of those rainbow stickers and put them all over my ULTRA conservative friends car and bedroom. We put them in crafty spots that took him a while to notice. I love bothering close minded people

Another guy we know fabbed up a dildo-on-a-bracket that he bolted to that same kids car (he gets tortured). He tucked it under the rear bumper just right so he didn't see it. Whilst driving the dildo untucked itself and flopped around. That kid's ultra conservative dad found it. There was much laughter
