um...I owned an 05 gixxah 7fiddy...then an MV Brutale...then a 1098...back to a Gixxah 7fiddy a month or so ago. Ok...so I sold the 1098 because I need to pay my legal fees related to the divorce...BUT...the 7fiddy is much more usable on the street than the 1098...and more nimble. The 1098 had too much power. The 7fiddy is still the best all around bike I've ever been on...yes, better than the Brutale (although they are different beasts...Brutale was pretty amazing)

technically, the hayabusa isn't a GSX-R... i suppose it's up for debate, cuz it has GSX and R in its designation, but it's not a GSX-R1300, it's a GSX1300R (Katana's were GSX-600F/GSX-750F). the GSX-R's are race reps, and there's no real way to differentiate between saying GSX-R ###(#) and GSX #### R

i sat on an 08 gsx-r 600 yesterday and it was a lot more comfortable than the r6... im pretty sure it had a gel seat but owner said it didn't.

i think it's the most comfy of all the 600s, I sat on a zx6r and didn't like it too much, and the newer R6 is even more uncomfortable than the 05. the honda is nice but I don't think it's as comfortable as the gixxer.

just saying since most people bash on it... I wish it didn't have a bad image since it is a really good bike. Anybody know what made the whole "gixxer" history start? Why are people who don't know much about bikes and just want to do burnouts and wheelies so attracted to the gsx-r and not cbr's or other 600s?

That isnt saying that a good rider wouldnt own a gixxer, Cause they are a great bike..But the majority of them are pretty terrible.

Stupid people give bad names to things, Unfortunatly Gixxers are a victem of this stereotype...
