    Glove recommendations

Looking for a glove with a large gauntlet that is easy to put on and offers as much protection as possible. Right now I have A* GP Pro's and while they are a very nice fit, it takes a good fit of fanageling and dancing around to get into them. They are a great fit in every place but the wrists. Even after more than a year of use I struggle to get into them. I know Heroic makes like the Cadillac of gloves. That's the style I'm looking for with a large wide open gauntlet that can be tightened up for comfort once they're on. Is there anything else on the market that's similar? I haven't had any need to buy new moto gear in a while so I'm kind of out of the loop with what's available.

    Re: Glove recommendations

Didn't I just sell you a pair of Knox gloves like a year ago?

My everyday gloves are also Held Phantom's (version 1). I like them so much I picked up a barely-used spare pair on ebay super cheap a while back for when these are worn out.
I also have a pair of Held Titan 1's that I use as a trackday glove (also picked up cheap barely used). They are similar except with stitched ring/pinky fingers, and a little more slidy stuff on the wrist and base of the palm.

    Re: Glove recommendations

2 years ago. One of those years I probably rode 500 miles cause it was the year my daughter was born. They're very good quality but getting them over my wrist is tough. It's even harder then one had is gloved and the other needs to be put on. Just looking for something with the same or better protection but easier to get my dick beaters into.

Take the gloves to a shoe repair place - a real one that works on leather shoes. They should be able to stretch the wrist area a bit.

Or do it yourself - soak the wrist area in warm water then put some gentle but firm pressure in the opening. Let them air dry slowly. Rinse and repeat as necessary. Once they fit, make sure to treat the leather with a good preservative.

I have a pair of AStar GP Pro gloves that were just a smidge small and through a few cycles of this was able to get them to fit quite well.

Thanks. I'll probably try that before I splurge on a new pair.

    Re: Glove recommendations

My hands are the most critical body part to motorcycle operation and control. I always wear gloves 100% of the time. If you go down you will reach out with your hands and it can be bad.

I ride a lot in cold weather. More than once we have left on trips with warm weather destinations but had to leave in temperatures as low as 28 degrees!

So I am glove poor. Funny but I just pulled out all my gloves this weekend, cleaned, inspected and made some switches on the bike.

    I have the following:

1 pair Harley finger-less gloves for really hot weather
2 pair of Harley light to medium full finger leather gloves
2 pair Water Proof Gloves, one mid weight and one heavy weight
1 pair HD Fleece Gloves - One of my favorite!
2 pair Gerbing Heated Gloves - 8 yr old G3 & New Gyde Vanguard

    Just yesterday I ordered the wife some Joe Rocket waterproof gloves from Revzilla and please don't tell her but I also ordered me a new pair of Rev'It Fusion GPX gloves for me! :}

    Re: Glove recommendations

The Held Phantom 2 and Heroic gloves are my favorites. They are designed a bit different, but I run either interchangeably without really noticing a difference. The Heroic's run small, I think I have 13's and normally wear 11's.

    Re: Glove recommendations

I have the racer gloves high speed model and they are awesome. They have already lasted longer than the heroics did without a sign of failure. Heroics busted at the seam very early on in their life. I'm pretty impressed with the racer stuff.
