So yesterday afternoon I'm on my way home from a sales call in Manchester, NH on rt.93 south (two lane highway with a soft shoulder on the left and a breakdown lane on the right) and a couple of jackasses on sportbikes come up from behind and pass me by splitting lanes at 100+ mph in heavy traffic. When they get to the gap in the packs of cars about 200 feet in front of where I am they slow down to about 60 mph and start holding up traffic so the jackass on the gixxer can "practice" his standup wheelies. I say practice because he could do them, but not smoothly and couldn't ride them any distance.
Now, call me crazy but is it really a good idea to "practice" something as dangerous as a standup wheelie in heavy rush hour traffic? Then to top it all off the other tool starts SKETCHING!!! I ask if I'm a dick because I'm pretty torqued up at this point because of them holding up traffic to pull this crap so I move into the breakdown lane to pass the held up traffic and get away from these assholes. Just as I pass the last car and just about reach the bikes the kid in the left lane starts drifting into the breakdown lane because he's too busy watching his buddy over his left shoulder and nearly collides with me and for a second there I actually found myself wishing for him to go down.
I hate wishing harm on other riders because it's bad karma, but these jerkoffs just seemed to be asking for it...
