Well, there goes another fuckin' bike
When your insurance company finds out you were planning on selling it, they are going to insert the rectal probe...That usually prompts them to go over everything wil a fine tooth comb, I worked as a Theft Adjuster before, bikes that disappear at beginning and end of the season are always scrutinized as many owners are looking for new bikes then. I DON'T MEAN IT with respect to your bike, just the public in general.
Good luck with it and I hope you get the fuckers that did it so you can :axe:

yeah, I cant wait to see how this is going to pan out...comsidering (1) I was going to sell it, and (2) it's the second time I've had a bike stolen. But i didn't do anything wrong so they can do what ever the hell they want.

wow! this is in Cambrige?

Well, there goes another fuckin' bike
I am not sure in the old days you could be thought of
as accident prone
I think they get suspicious
Like you wrecked it and don't want it as a collision so you make it disappear rather then totaled.
If you had big ones report it stolen and part it out on ebay. Then you get a double pay check.
Find someone without insurance that has wrecked a similar bike. Yours becomes his he pays you 1/2 and you collect from insurance.
I shouldn't go on but the insurance is gonna fish eye you boy

Sorry to hear about your bike chris..again that sucks.
Question for the insurance comments, why would the insurance company need to know he was planning on selling the bike? I wouldn't tell them and I'm sure you are not obligated to in any way either:)
And for once I thought maybe RW would have a reasonable reply to a post so I clicked the message from the ignor list... I was wrong again:doh:

Ignore list people are often like Micheal Moore or Geroge Bush; Idiots, that perodically become self-parody. Therein, humor lies. Ignore status will save the eyes from verbal refuse, but may also sheild acute humor. its good to peek, sometimes. if for no other reason, than to confirm their ignored status.

Insurance company will run his credit report and if there has been any activity at a bike shop, and if he lies and says "no, I was not planning on getting a new one..." and they see credit apps from Johnny Bike Shop, he is screwed.
Chris, answer everyhthing truthfully as insurance companies can find out a lot more tan you think. At work I can get access to anyone credit report, assets they own, who your neighbors are, friends, your relatives, previous addresses, criminal records, driving history, ss#'s, claims history, you name it. Insurance companies will send peopple out to screen your neighbors, your mechanic, hire surveillance on you.
You know how some people lie and say they live in one place and live in another to save $ on their premium, you should hear the tone of their voice when I call them at their real address... "oh shit...". I have found people in NY, california, Colorado, NJ, Puerto Rico and the like.
I am not saying this will happen to Chirs, I am just saying, if he truely did nothing wrong, then don't hide anything as that will only make you look suspect.
Chris, if you have any questions let me know, I'll do what ever I can.

*nods* I am very much aware of that. We have read numerous insurance cases in my contracts class at school. I am aware of what they can legally investigate. Fraud is serious shit. However, the only one who has done anything sketchy here are the people who stole my bike.
