I was up in Big Sur for about a week a few weeks back. I might be up north again in a week or so. RT 1 is super sweet. Well...as long as it isn't be swallowed by the ocean or blocked by mudslides.

My guess is that its a mess right now. I had to move up my move date, so things are crazy right now.

Apparently parts of 1 are collapsing with all the rain we've had...and in general there is tons of sand, and rock slides every where. Some of my favorite routes are unrideable now...

Ooooh Gotcha... we live out on Sunset Rd, you should check it out sometime. Its a quick 5 mile stretch with some killer hills and turns.

I was at a conference in SF this past Feb. I couldn't resist the 60-70 degree sunny weather and rented for the day an SV650 from dubbelju. Rode it down to Santa Cruz via 1, 35, 9 etc... It was awesome! You guys have some of the best roads out there!
