    Gotta love cheap fixes.

Fixed a $170 dollar part with a 15 cent ball bearing today.

    *pats self on back

Saturday night the turn signal switch on the Tuono went all wobbly on me. The switch still worked but it didn't automatically return to center or stay popped out.

I posted up on the apriliaforum & a guy from CT had a description of what he did to fix it & awesome close-up pics like this... so i popped the switch open, saw the missing ball bearing, went to the local hardware store, popped it in there... good as new

Always good to save $, better when you get to save $ and fix it yourself. Hows that Tuono on city riding, comfort wise, too leaned over pressuring the wrist or no?

The Tuono is the upright version of the RSV Mille. It's like a giant dirtbike, the thing's BUILT for being a hooligan about the city

Been reading about them, like the looks, just not sure if the riding position will kill the wrist or knee (degenerative meniscus condition). How does it handle on the track, or you don't take that out (didn't see it listed in your sig whether you track it or not)?

I had it on the track about 3 days after I picked it up. Handles pretty good, BUT the rear tire that's on there right now is a bit squared off. Because of that it wanted to stand up instead of carve through the corner which meant it required more countersteering than I woulda liked which meant the front felt a little numb when banked over. But even though it felt numb mid-corner I was still able to feel a big push from the front end in 1a without a problem. Pushed it through the whole corner & it kept goin just fine.

Once I get some rounder tires on there it'll handle awesome, no doubt about it.

The riding position is great. Nice & upright, like I said & the footpegs aren't too high. I'd say it'd probably be just as, if not more comfortable than your busa once you get a gell or corbin saddle on there to make it a little softer on the rump, but I did a 300 mile day on Sunday w/ no problem.

Interesting indeed. One I checked out at the dealer in AZ sat there for a months, then they shipped it up to Phoenix area to try and sell it. Wasn't a big crowd for Aprilia, or naked bikes. One issue there was the tracks were a couple hours away and normally over booked, so you'd pay $150 for an open track day and get about 3 or 4, 5 lap sessions. Private rental was much nicer at Arroyo in NM, $105 x 5 riders, track to yourself all damn day.

Will have to check out the riding position if its that cozy. The busa is very good for comfort, no pain in my knees or wrists. Slight vibration around 4-5k rpm though, which can be irritating.

Then in that case, the only thing that separates us is about 90 years of "experience"? How old are you now?
