I wonder if this game will be sold over the counter w/o having an Arai professional helmet fitter size you prior? Looks cool. The first GT's physics modeling was excellent. Hopefully they pull off the mechanics of bikes just as well as they had done with the cages.

Nice it is from Polyphony digital and it sounds like it uses some of the code/engine from Gran Turismo 4... so they could add in all the same tracks if they wanted to.

don't get too excited folks ... GT4 looked eh in game, the only thing that looks that good is the prerendered replays of the races, which you are seeing there

Who cares what GT4 looks like...

Try it with the Logitech wheel & pedals that were designed specifically for the game. It's ridiculously realistic.

It even simulates differences in steering feel in the cars. It's totally mind blowing when you use the wheel instead of the PS2 controller. Cars with/without Limited slip differentials feel different, RWD vs. FWD vs. AWD feels different, etc, etc, etc..

i have the wheel and pedels, yes I'll agree impressive ... but i'm a graphics whore too and it just bothers me when they release images like above, the in game never looks that good ... that is all.

i haven't, but if i had the room, it'd be cool to somehow try and modify an old full setup Hang-On machine. Replace the the arcade bike you sit on with a real one.. maybe a salvage with no motor. Hook it up to a PC/PS2/XBOX or whatever. Just an elaborate controller.. that you can hang off of.

I'm sure it can be done, there are plenty of race sim people out there that have cockpit setups.

    Word.

I wouldn't waste your duckets on a PS2 at this point. Not with Xbox 360 coming out next month!!!

    I'll be playing Moto GP 2006 !

I'm surprised they're not releasing it closer to Microsoft's release date. It was vice-versa last time, no (Sony out first)?

The game that will "win" IMO is the one that finally gets countersteering right.

If Polyphony works with someone to develop a handlebar controller I imagine they will be motivated to finally create realistic motorcycle controls, if they do that this came will kick the snot out of the XBox product.

Of course I could care less, if the kick ass game ends up being on Xbox we have an Xbox and my roommate is enough of a video game freak he will probably buy the 360 too.

And because it has DVDHD capability and can deliver progressive scan 1080p, it's worth $360 all day long. There are probably 5 DVD players available right now with that type of technology... all selling over $250.
