    Best motorcycle school in Mass?

    Hey all,

So I am going to be purchasing my first motorcycle this winter (figure I can get a good deal during the winter months around here), and I will be taking my MSF course this October.

And no, I do not need advice on what my first bike will be. I am getting an F4i, not sure what year yet but hoping for a 2003.

Anyways, I just bought a helmet, an exo-1000 apollo, and now the next step is to register for my MSF course.

Where did you all take your course? I am thinking of Training Wheels in Woburn but I wanted to know if anyone else has a place they like better?

If your registering for October 16th in Woburn....I'll be your instructor!!

We are the best of course!!

All the schools run the same curriculum but obviously every instructor has their individual personalities.

All the instructors at the Woburn site are great coaches.

Have you ridden a bike on the street before? Any other riding experience?

I'll contest to this, The MSF is a great program. I am an instructor myself(not for MSF or riding but for Heavy Equipment), and I must say the methods they use are perfect for beginners. You're able to focus on learning the basic but critical skills to ride a motorcycle safely and skillfully. Its also the best way to get your license in MA in my opinion, plus it gets you 20% off your insurance I believe.

I took a private lesson from a guy named Bill from Training Wheels at the Brockton campus and it was a good experience.

I live in the Newbury area, closest school to me i Beverly but I dont like Cycles 128.

I am thinking about Training Wheels Woburn site.

And to answer the question, Ill be honest and say my experience is little to none. But everyones gotta start somewhere!

I tried riding a 250, and me being 6'3" 220lbs, i felt unsafe on such a small bike. I belive the ergonomics of the f4i will suit my needs, and I will spend many hours initially in a parking lot. Slow and steady...

I can...if everything goes perfectly with replacing my transmission on Saturday at Eric B's The gaskets are supposed to be in this week, I'm hoping its just a one day job? (and will anyone make fun of me if I have a fog light mounted as a headlight and my bike looks questionably street legal?)
