I thought there was something questionable about this ad.....isn't he selling it for REAL cheap? I'm thinking $2700 for this bike is way too low? Stolen?

e-mail and ask him if he as title in hand oand if it is mechanically sound, it is not cheap if it has a blown engine or melted wiring cosmetically it looks ok though, if it all checks out call the PD with the V.I.N. and see if stolen, then buy it
Don't want to buy it...lol Just thought I would post it here in case it was stolen and someone recognized it. It's true the motor or mechanic could be fried, maybe that's why he's not giving any details...lol

got to be a scam. when i was looking for a bike i was on craigs list all the time. i found a similar deal on a fz1. i contact the guy and he was "working in the uk" and wanted me to buy the bike through his e-bay account. i told him no thanks and he came right back and took another 500 bucks off. def a scam.
Ok, that got me laughing....did I say something wrong here? lol Re-phrase it for me...Originally posted by trickphoto

ha! that email's bullshit too i'm pretty sure there's no such thing as googlemail.com..... gmail.com is google's mail.
Is there something wrong with people emailing you to buy your bike if they have a "gmail" address? Just curious...
I got two people emailing me for my bike with gmail addresses.

Dont reply to those !
They are called Phishing scams...
Once they have your email they will use it to lure you into wiring money or some other such scam.
People do this on ebay all the time. They require you email before you can bid...
bang you get a reply to wire the money to their bank account for some really good deal.... NOT !
Plus they sell the addresses to spammers.
I already replied to both emails....

Someone who live in Boston doesn't want to drive down here to see my bike, but would like to give me a deposit for the bike and then I would ride the bike to Boston....isn't weird that someone wouldn't want to see the bike before purchasing it?? I don't know...I guess people do it all the time on ebay for cars, bikes and other stuff...
Is paypal safe for transactions like these? Let's say he send me a deposit by paypal?
Hey, don't pin me down on the ground, I've never sell a bike before...lol

nothing wrong with a gmail account, i got one myself... googlemail.com is not a valid address.
maybe they don't have a car? just take someone with you and leave the deposit at home. also let them know up front if they do not want the bike, you keep some of the deposit for the time and money you spent to make the trip. you can always just go to an ATM to withdraw the money. make sure to meet in a public place.Originally posted by MissTwisties

Were not debating e-mail accounts jackass, we are discussing if googlemail.com is a real domain? If you type it in a browser it brings you to the standard mail.google.comOriginally posted by OreoGaborio

Oh that's so a scam. When I was looking last May for a bike I found all these brand new bikes for sale on Ebay for like nothing. They all had the exact same story, Bike was not in the US and all this other sketchy crap.
When a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. I always go by www.kbb.com and look up the value of the bike, if the guy isnt selling it around what KBB is stating, It will throw up a red flag in my head and I'll ask why so cheap, or why so expensive. Always do your research ahead of time!!!
its got a flat tire![]()
