ZX-650R, any good for track riding?

I've heard these new 650R's are pretty nice on the track, obviously better than the Busa. In NM's Arroyo Secco Track, the manager runs one and has a series of them running throughout the year. Thinking they aren't that expensive and if the platform is good might be worth a look into converting to a track only bike...unless I can find that already setup track only bike in the spring.
    Thanks

I know there are a bunch of places running spec series around them. You could always pickup an EX500 prepped and ready to race for dirt cheap if you just want something to throw around on the track.

    You will want a inline-4 , I would think.

Go SV or Ducati if you are dropping to 2 cylinders.

EX500? Not familiar, or is that the ninja 500?

Yes that's is the ninja 500. Or as the rest of the racers call it, "ugly as hell". The ninja 650 has been a contender. The pair of 9's team ran quite well with them during this seasons motoST series.

good luck findin an aprilia 125.

250's can be had in the 5k range but they're few & far between. If i recall correctly, they put out somewhere around 65hp but I can't remember for sure. Gary (trackdog) had a beautiful one for a while & loved it. i woulda bought it off of him if I coulda afforded to

You ride a Hayabusa! You'd kill yourself on a 125!

Might possibly do that. First time I rode my friends R6 I thought I was literally going to throw it down, was too used to the extra effort required by the fat bitch.

Where? I've ridden one a couple laps, not much and was worried about hurting it (< goes back to the over throwing due to normally riding a heavy ass bus). Very fun and seemingly nimble. Besides, since I'm a MC parts dealer I can swap things out for a relatively low cost
