Have any of you guys used these salvage auction sites? I am in the market for a salvage bike that I can track or mess around with and seems like I can get decent deals on some bikes...anything I should watch out for? Too good to be true?
I go to Copart.com and iaai.com and buy sometimes. Deals are there. The Fees are ludacris 300-400 buy fee, Gate Fee 59.00 Internet Fee 59.00 so be careful
Just buy a track ready bike. Tested, more reliable and cheaper. Minus the headache, research, stress and wasted time.
Have you considered a front wheel drive sedan with snow tires?
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
salvage 'busa with extended swingarm, perfect rack tool
Seriously, while I haven't done this, I've always felt prices were high for what you are getting plus the potential for surprises. Unless you're dead set on building up a track bike, buying one that's already set up seems easier.
Ive taken a streetbike and turned it into a track bike. Never again....
