I almost expected to find Rossi's stolen camera for sale on NESR. 2 races back fans ran on coarse to congratulate him and some one stole it. next race he had a standard camera

When I looked into adapting RC plane gyros for this purpose, the project quickly ran over $1,000 in parts.

They really screw you with the gyro for the helicopter. The electronics other than the camera would probably cost no more than $25. The actual gyro chip for the helicopters is only like $3.

I've actually designed a control board for a UAV system and did alot of auto leveling algorithms which is what the gyroscopic camera would use.

If I wasn't busy at work I'd probably design one. It's quite simple actually.

A fast car does an 8:00 lap at Nurburgring.

Here's a bike doing 7:50 with a gyro stabilized video. Another RadioViktoria edited video but still cool.

Re: Gyroscopic camera for commercial use?

For those of you who didn't see the thread, I found a $60 integrated gyro-servo. It has the same drift-back-to-center issue that most of the others do, but he's now introduced a newer version that is even better. I'm still looking for a more compact camera as packaging is the biggest problem.

This was my track day test, using a GoPro attached to the fuel tank.

DJI (the drone people) have introduced a 3-axis stabilized 4K camera. Currently on sale for $569. It uses their GO app to control it and view the images.

This is actually the exact camera we use at NPD to film our bike videos. It's a pretty badass set up, especially for the money.

Off Topic: Is that voice over one of the employees or a computer generated voice? Couple of pronunciations and overall tone made me curious.

Haha that's actually Max, Nate's son (the owner). He's interning with / helping our marketing team for the summer. We built a dedicated sound booth into the office to record the voice overs.

Tricolore? Ohlins? Termignoni? Fuct if I know how to pronounce those either. I thought Max did a very good job, beats the ever livin' hell out of most terrible sales vids I've seen.

Oh no I think he did a great job, it was the even tone and yes the pronunciation of a couple of those words. Most people can't speak that way even if they try, pretty impressive that he can.
