thats the same guy i bought my bike from... do parts from a 01 fit on a 03??.. whats weird when i bought it from him he said he just bought that house, now hes moveing... meby he sold me the bike, and stole it back to parts it.. is that possible? hes also got a different number now

He didn't even list a price. He just says he needs it "GONE". Very little in the way of any sort of description. It is extremely vague. Yes, maybe a bit sketchy. So, should we set up a sting operation and figure out whats up ?

The price is $7995 it is listed in the title. Probably bought that one after he sold the other one. I would not think to much into it.

interesting...were there any distinguishing marks on the one you had? maybe worth going to check it out...

edit - check to see if the color scheme changed...when did they switch to the all black?

they look the same to me.. unless you mean the '01 plastic wouldn't fit an '03

Everything plastic wise fits between all year RC's
The Wing design is different between the (00,01) than the (02 & 03) and even more so on the 04,05's

I just bought an 03 swing arm and with the right spacers and hardware it will bolt right up to my 01!

Worth checking into. IMHO

Have a fellow NESR member get his info and go check it out, and have them check the VIN while they are there. Who knows maybe he swapped frames, but I'd doubt it. For anyone in his area, might be worth a shot. If you got a title with the bike, which I would have to assume you did, just PM the VIN to anyone willing to meet this guy and see what they come up with.

The plastics are different. The 03 has a black tail, the side fairings do not say Honda on the bottom like they did on the 00's and 01's and the black wings are different between the 2 bikes. Could be someone elses plastics, but they are not the ones from your bike.

funny thing is i emaild him about my bike gettin stolen, he never emaild me back... he was sketchy from the start.. he was answering my emails a wile back when i asked him some questions about the bike..

Send someone under cover to look at his bike and poke around his garage and see if they see any remnants of your then.

The body panels will fit, but are different color patterns. Ive seen this bike for sale before yours was stolen. Im dead serious...
