After 7 years of not having a road legal bike I've decided next spring it will time to get one. I know what I want and yes its a Harley. I'll be buying new. I know some people here have and had worked for Harley dealers and other have had experience with buying from Harley dealers. I'm looking for experiences and how the dealers were to deal with. I've been to two so far looking. Precision, and Cape Cod Harley. Montys in Bridgewater is also within a quick drive. Precision and Cape Cod were both the exact opposite of any sportbike dealer I've walked into except Cycle Design. They were quick to come over and greet me and offer help. I usually get the blank stare and the don't touch the bikes from sportbike type dealers.
I'm willing to travel to other dealers within reason if the end deal is good. I don't want to drive up to NH or to CT to save a 100 on msrp. It will cost me more in gas.
I'm looking for feedback on what you all have experienced with trying to make a deal to get a Harley. Good or bad it doesn't matter.
I'll be buying probably next March or April.
