Why I hate fmx and stunts

I didn't realize flatland was still going on. I just had a convo the other day about how the X-games has changed. So many other events like skydiving, street luge, rock climbing, and of course flat land BMX have gone the wayside for freestyle MX. It's even flooded over to the winter. I can't say I'm not interested in it, but I see it as an exhibition rather than a competition.

FMX may indeed imitate the things these guys do but in my eyes it's got to be harder when you're whipping around a machine vs a bike. Some would argue that you have a motor to help with doing the tricks but I give both sports a hell of a lot of credit for doing things to the extreme.

I know you do... I'm just pointing out that the reasoning you used in your original post for hating freestyle mx and stunting is weak and hypocritical cuz you could use that same reasoning for ANY motorcycling discipline. Street riding, woods riding, road racing, motocross, stunt riding, freestyle jumping, you name it... EVERYTHING we do on motorcycles was done on before on bicycles.

i get bored watching motorcycle stunting after a while unless they are doing something that i've never seen before...but i get bored watching the flatland stuff too...for some reason i can watch the dirt jumping for a lot longer bicycle or dirtbike

side note...saw someone with a dirty ktm on a trailer hitched to a honda element in the taco bell parking lot in funtown yesterday
