    sux

    just a safety ?

does the tire clear the lower section when compressed and move back under heavy breaking? It looks close.

I'm not sure exactly what part you are referring to? The front tire is about 1" close. But I can't really test it under heavy breaking yet. Gotta be on the track for that.

Pull the springs from your forks and shock, that'll let you test full travel clearances.

It sucks to do, but it's far nicer to find out NOW that you need to raise the bodywork than on the brakes into T1 or deep in T6...

+1 and maybe 1/2" of fork flex to be safe

I would slot out the area for the pipe to give me the appropriate tire room. What’s more important? Making sure the pipe fit in the faring or giving the tire enough clearance for safety purposes? Can only pick 1!

Gino, we're all about looks here. clearly you dont get it.
besides, we're not concerned that Sav will use all that stopping power.

    Re: hawk race prep

all I would try to do is slide the fairing back. rear tire has tons of room so moving it back .5-1" would give the front tire a little more room without interfering with the back. of course this can be tough with upper fairing stay.

Just let the tire modify the bodywork. It's fine.

    Re: hawk race prep

I hear ya Brett but I don't know how to do that. The lower fairing is attached to the upper one and we also made an extra bracket to hold it steady on the back. I wrapped the inside with foil tape because the exhaust was touching and I wasn't able to move it any farther back. I am not sure how I can do that without modifying something on the exhaust?

    Re: hawk race prep

what I was thinking is more dependent on the upper fairing stay. other brackets can usually be rotated or just make new ones.

you should see how much work it took to get my fairings on. had to cut out pieces to clear the headers and make a whole almost minisubframe to hold the tail section up.
