Its not so much hate for buell/ebr as it is placing blame where it belongs. Eric is a horrible businessman, clearly. Theres a common denominator.
HD doesnt deserve the blame either. HD offered the deal and eric signed. Then HD took control of the company with the intent of it being an entry level HD. Change in management at HD had buell in the crosshairs. Im sure building bikes without HD engines in them sealed his fate.
You cant fault HD for keeping all the patents and intellectual property. I mean, they DID pay for it. Its pretty common practice.

Personally i find it extremely annoying that people are so ignorant that they think HD will somehow ruin ducati. HD is the most successful motorcycle company in the country. They own over 50% of the market here for bikes over 599ccs. Let that sink in. Thats more bikes sold than honda, suzuki, kawasaki, yamaha, ducati, mv, triumph, bmw (and anyone else)...COMBINED.
Maybe ducati could use their help in sales and marketing.
Its far more likely that HD will use ducatis development dept for things like emissions or possibly even a v rod replacement since they discontinued it this year

Well if you put it that way, it does appear I am harassing Mr. Buell lol.

I have nothing against Erik Buell, I just find his fanbois wanting to explain away everything annoying that's all. But I've backed off, not going to keep beating this dead horse (pun intended).

Yup, that's how I feel as well. It's common practice in any industry.

Wow, I'd love to see VW sell Ducati, and kill Bentley and Porsche.

    Thanks diesel-gate!
