I'm looking for comments on heated clothing.
my Eclipse electric vest (44watts) just shit the bed. I'm going to open it up and attempt to repair it, but in the meantime I want to get something new. Eclipse stopped making electric clothing acouple years after I bought mine. I know that Widder,Gerbings & Chille are the big names. are there others?
I ride in extreme cold, am leaning towards a gerbings jacket liner.
how are they worn? I always wore my eclipse over a t shirt and under a thermal/fleece sweatshirt then my outer wear.
If I get gloves, how do they connect.
Currently I have SAE type connector is there an advantage toa BMW type?

I just got a new Gerbing's after selling my old one last year.
I am disappointed they switched from the SAE type.
I had a single SAE connector that was fused for the old jacket, and I was able to plug in either my battery tender or jacket into that same plug. Now I have to have two.
Not really a big deal but a bit annoying.
Love the heated sleeves & collar though. The collar is awesome.

Randy I just bought the Gerbings heated Jacket and I can't say enough good things about it. I dropped the coin on the thermostat also.
I am going to get the pants soon I think. Seems like the right thing to do.
The gerbings jacket has heated arms and a heated collar which works mint.
The jacket really packs well to. I will fit in your tank bag no problem.
