Do you have a link to the product where you could buy it?

Its a DVR unit right? At least it looks like it from the photo.

The camera to my system has a bunch of different mounts it came with. We chose two spots on my bike. One is up front where its attatched to the steering damper by industrial velcro and zip ties. The other is a ball type mount that is bolted to the tail and the camera screws into that.

The dvr unit is velcroed and zip tied up front on the inside of the bodywork in a sport I can get easy access to record and stop recording. When you come to grab you bike from the shop take a look at mine and maybe that will give you the answers youre looking for.

It's a Helmet camera unit ,that the name.the mini camera does not have any mounts so I guess industrial velcro will have to be used and some zip ties.I just want to make sure where ever I put it it will be easy access to the DVR to record and stop recording and it will be safe out on the track. It comes with a mini camera ,DVR and battery pack and a lot of wires so I just want to make sure it stay's on when I put it on the bike.I'll check your's out when I go up to Pete's shop.

    Re: Helmet cam

i have a helmetcam.com setup. i put the DVR in the trunk and the camera on the side of the bike with velcro and a ziptie for extra safeness. i never remove the camera or the wiring.
i will strongly suggest wiring the power to the battery though. that thing eats AAs and make sure you unplug the camera when not in use (like overnight, not necessarily between sessions).

you can pretty much put it wherever you want. anyplace you feel its secure. industrial velcro helps too. get it at walmart. i used to put it facing out the back but its a little bumpy back there.

    Re: Helmet cam

i borrowed Daviid's set-up that's sold by a guy to racers off the WERA board.... works pretty good but it's got a lot of wires. One thing I'd like to mention is that I PMed the guy when i had a minor issue with it & he was super responsive & helpful. Fixed the problem with a couple dabs of loctite. http://www.cedigital.com/

Just looked at his webiste & it looks like he changed the recording unit to a nicer one.

$235 shipped to racers... may have changed since then though.

(EDIT: Yup, coupon code "racer" still gives $25 off.)

Another option if you're not worried about high quality vid is the Oregon Scientific. Super cheap & rugged.

here's one discussion on the wera board...

i bought mine off a member on here, but it came with a cigarette lighter plug...i just cut the plug off and ran the wires to the batt. if yours didnt come with the cig adapt you might be able to use the wire set up that goes to the batt pack and cut that one.

I powered mine from the wires for the tail light. Since it is connected to the ignition switch, I don't have to worry about any power drain when not in use.
