Really good thing I read to the end of page 1 before hitting 'reply'.
As it was I got a nice laugh out of the deal.

i'm suprised you didnt photoshop his head on that picture
soooo about those lessons???
i know how to shift... i'm sure we can find someone who knows how to turn:bs:
I did get some weird responses, but not that many, and more from the w4m section than the motorcycle section. I was actually pretty surprised by how many thoughtful people responded with good advice, tips, offers for lessons, etc. I thought I would be pretty much on my own, trying to track down friends of friends with bikes and that sort of thing, but it seems like motorcyclists are incredibly wiling to help new riders. Maybe this sounds cheesy, but bikers really do seem to have a community, and it's pretty awesome to be getting involved with it.
Nice avatar! Who is that guy?
I just read the whole thread - what no one is going to push her for a track day? (think tight leathers:naughty)
Welcome Jennay. Please ignore the homo-erotic innuendos here from our closeted "alternative life stylists" (you too will wish they'd at least close the closet door..) Anyway the Party Nov 3rd is in Windham NH, I'll send you a PM with the details...
and please ignore that 42 number in my profile, thats a thread count or something...and the finger wagging next to wife 66?....that ahhhh means.. that I don't have a wife? thats it!
Morning Jennay!
(wow only us old guys up at this hour, haha sorry Chris G)
The Drunkathon is a memorial benefit that is becoming a yearly thing. We go to a bar that one of the members on here owns and we donate money for a great cause and get "shitty" then go back to a hotel for an orgy.
(Well that last part may not be true... I have always heard rumors but I am in bed at a reasonable hour)
In all seriousness, last year one of the racers got in a pretty nasty crash and soome great people go together for this "Drunkathon" along with some raffled Items to raise money to help him pay some bills. He even ended up getting back on the track and racing this year!
This year we lost 2 members of the LRRS racing community and this drunathon will be to raise money for there respective funds. :drink:
That last part *is* true.
This is exactly what I needed to get me going this morning:spit:
If you have ridden through Davis Square and lived then youre probably ready for the race track. I used to have problems just walking through there. Id be willing to help you out but if Im all the way in Somerville then we are going to Redbones.
Welcome aboard.
I am over your age limit, so I am out.
The men and women here are some of the best riders, tuners and racers in New England.
You will make many new friends and improve your riding skills too, with a little participation.
Good luck with the new bike and get out of the city to ride.
