Looking to get into some more comfortable track day gear, any advice is appreciated -
Leathers and airbag vest - Currently have a Vanson twin-zip off the rack suit and Astars TechAir3 vest. Separately they're both great. Together they suck - the inflation components are between the shoulders of the vest and its impossible to get the suit over the vest comfortably. I bought the suit a bit too large and removed the aerobump but it still doesn't work. Don't want to go to an even larger suit, should I just get airbag equipped leathers? Would other airbag vests fit better?
Boots - very nice pair of Sidi track boots. They're protective, they look good and........I hate them. It takes me 15 minutes to put them on with all the infernal clips and dials and other shit. Plus they're gigantic, size 11 and I have trouble getting my foot under the shifter. Anyone moved from Sidi's to something else? How did that work for you?
Dainese was the answer to all my problems. Boots like butter, suits that can move and flex. Gloves that I can feel shit with.
I can't speak to the airbag vest side, but I was always satisfied with the alpinestars boots. I never had the R version with the separate booty, but loved the supertech I think they were. Also had the RT Race by TCX and loved those too!

I like my Forma Ice Flow boots, everyone's seen me walking around in them all day.
Sounds like a ride up to Seacoast is in your future.
Have you by chance tried the vest on the outside of your suit?
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
Thanks everyone for checking in - I'm searching around for boots online and will take a ride up to Seacoast to try on Dainese vest
Haven't tried that....the vest is a bit snug and the leathers are a bit big so might be a hard to combine that way. Plus if (when) I go down the vest is unlikely to survive
