2003 Kawasaki ZX6R, finally after a looong winter, tear down, paint frame, subframe, forks, new swingarm (2007 zx6r swingarm) new rims (2005 zx6r rims) +3 rear sprocket, block off plates on the motor, remove secondary butterfly valves, install (but not hook up) PCIII

Re: finally back on the road!!

thanks for the compliments peeps! put alot of hard work into this so far, literally blood and sweat, a few busted knuckles....not really from the bike but punching the wall when i got frustrated haha

yes the tail is OEM, i had read last year about people cutting cans down, drilling new holes, and re-riveting, so i said F it and went for it. Cut it right in half so it sits at 9 inches. kinda thinking of heat wrap up to the can, then doing the can/tip black somehow

and FZR, is that ur name cuz u had one? that was my first bike back in college

Re: finally back on the road!!

lol yea, so far you and DaveZX6R and myself started out on FZRs and moved to Kawis, its odd, the ZX was one of my dream bikes to own before i get too old for sport bikes. The ZX, RC51, and 675 will one day all be in my garage =P

    *EDIT*
At least i Think it was Dave? I recall seeing someone else posting about the FZR and then a kawi
