Here's one for two stroke fans

A friend from NY stopped by on his way home today with a couple bikes, this one is his new winter project - '86 Suzuki RG 500. I rode this one about 15 years ago and it was a blast. Can't wait to sample the finished project with fresh upgrades!

I've always wanted to ride a 2-stroke motorcycle. I loved 2-stroke dirt bikes so much that I basically stopped riding when everything became 4's. I miss my old 91' Ktm 300 ex/c! Fucking environmentalists... .

I bought a dirt bike for my son and I rode it more than he did. It's been about 8 yrs. since my days riding in the woods with the guys who did NETRA races. Once my son gets into it, I'll get one for myself again! I know there are some 2-strokes still available, the other day on craigslist I was tempted to buy a late 90's 380ex/c. Kind of a big bike for the woods, but would still be fun! I've heard the new 4-strokes are great, but it just doesn't sound or feel the same!

Yeah, it's pretty cool. We had an epic 750 mile one day ride on old air cooled gsxr's up into Nova Scotia to get it back in 1995 (he left his GSXR there in trade and rode the RG home via the ferry to Bar Harbor). A shitstorm followed with customs, etc and it has pretty much been stored since. Super cool bike with true lightswitch power. My buddy is really into the 2stroke gp style bikes, he has had an early 90's RGV250SP also. Very thankful I got to ride that one, it was one of the funnest bikes I've ever tried.

There was one with CT plates at Rice O Rama last week, I have been looking for one for a long time now! Prices are up there, you are lucky to find anything decent for less than 8K

That is one sexy machine! Throw a TSS 500GP mill in there and you can have a ball beating up on MW machines.

Re: Here's one for two stroke fans

I considered going that road with mine but I have a street bike and a track bike so decided to keep the RZ "closer" to stock.
I am also intending building a modified GSX1100 or GS1000 in the "near" future!!

Hey! I can start my KTM so it can't be too far off from that. You're just worried I'd out ride you on stuff you were riding before I was born!

I really wanna know what you mean by that.

Josh, I'd punch a sick baby in the face for a v4 2 stroke. I'd probably fap it to pics of the thing too.
Edit: the bike, not the baby, sickos.
