Just went over to my local shop to try to pick up an old TS185 they've had for a while for $350 to use as a cafe project base. They sold it on Saturday for $200, still ran good, good condition, etc. Damnit!! Shoulda bought it last week...

Yeah, there is no shortage of cheap old bikes that are potential cafe donors. I liked the condition of this one for the price, and liked that it was a single cylinder as it'd be easy for me to work on. Not the end of the world, I'll find another.

I have a friend iN Epping who has an old (early 70s) Honda CB 350 (might be a CL...I know 2 people with them, one's a CL and one's a CB...) that doesn't run ATM. I can let him know you're looking if you'd like, I'm sure he wouldn't mind the cash....

I'm not sure if I want to get into a multi-cylinder bike that doesn't run. My mechanical abilities on 4 strokes, especially multi-cylinders, is pretty inexperienced. Do you know if it ran when parked? I'll run it by 6 fingers, he does a lot of my work and taught me a lot of what I know.
