Hi New here with a few questions

Hi guys new to this forum but far from new to riding..

    Couple of questions:

    1. New to MA specifically the wayland area. Looking for a reputable shop to get my MC recall done on my 06 gsxr 1k. HATE other people working on my toys but it has to be done by a "pro"

    2. Looking to get a nice custom tune done. Who's the baddest and best? Willing to travel 50-100 miles each way for the best.

Besides that looking forward to getting together with some people to ride with. If there is sun out and its above 40, I'm usually out riding.

Welcome to Mass and NESR! I can't help you with servicing your bike, but I know Adrenaline Cycles in Swansea has a dyno and does custom tunes.

Welcome aboard Lucas. As far as the recall goes, I'm pretty sure it has to be done by Suzuki so you're likely best off going to the nearest dealership to you and before spring hits and you want to ride it. As far as the tune goes do a quick search, I know there was a very recent thread started about it.

Hey mike! Yea man I checked out suzukis site for dealers and there pretty far. I do have access to a truck all this week though so I'm trying to figure something out. Was hoping to hear from someone who got there's done recently.

I read a tune thread from early but everyone has different opinions. I think I'll shoot the op of that thread a pm and see what he did

I know several people have taken the long drive down from MA to John at Dyno Solutions in CT. Most of the CT guys that are closer go to him if they need anything done.

Re: Hi New here with a few questions

I'm originally from CT and have fam there so driving down there is not a problem. I'll look into them.

I'd be flashing stock ecu. From what I can gather you can do more with an ecu flash than with the PCV (correct me if I'm wrong). I guess you can program in TRE and everything so was hoping to go that route. Theres a place in cali that does it. You send them a mod list and then give you a moderate tune but its no dyno tune. I get my car tuned at EFI in CT so maybe I can give them a call and see if they have any suggestions.

If I can go with a PCV and get a custom tune as well as store 2 seperate maps I may go that route as well something for balls out fun and something for a to and from work. That is the only plus I have found so far with going with that over just and ecu flash.

Re: Hi New here with a few questions

street only - pick up a used PCIII
street with some track days - PCV
    club racing - Bazzaz Z-Fi
AMA racing - EMpro with Bazzaz Z-fi TC

i'm a fan of Adrenaline Cycles doing the maps.
Justin's tuner does a good job.

Re: Hi New here with a few questions

PCV it is! That was my original plan but after ready a bit some people said to go the flash route. I prefer something of this nature. Similar to accessport for the subarus. I know it's different but still similar. Now I just have to get that stupid recall squared away. Why they wont let me just get the new part and install myself...oh yea the cant guarantee the work and blah blah blah. W.e free stuff!

    Thanks for your help Jim!

Re: Hi New here with a few questions

flashing an ECU causes more headaches than it's worth.
the only guys that i know flash stock ECU's are the 08+ R6 race bikes.

keep the ECU stock and get a tuning plug-in that's designed to do what you want.
hopefully Adrenaline will get your bike purring.

    Cool thanks man.

Both those places are about the same distance from me. Going to call both and see who can get me in sooner. I have a truck this week so maybe someone can squeeze me in. If not I'll wait until its a little warmer and the bike is registered, then ride it out.
