i'm not even sure i understand what happened. i mean i saw the guy in front do the stoppie, but all of a sudden the camera bike just falls over... did he lock the front tire (i think it's possible if you just grab a handful of brake instantly without letting the weight transfer forward) and just tuck the front?

shitty way to go, not to mention it was precipitated by an idiot riding buddy... i try to be extra careful and not trust anyone when i ride in a group -- better to be far away from everyone than have your bike intertwined with theirs.

yeah I'm pretty sure he/she panicked and just grabbed a bunch of front brake. It's poor riding on both their parts. What the guy in front did was a dick move but had they been riding staggered and if they left more room it probably wouldn't have been a problem.

Riding staggered would have done the trick...he could have swerved to one side whilst extending the appropriate leg and foot, planting a sharp toe right in his fucking spine. Although this particular rider probably would've just fallen off his ride as it appears he has a tendency to spaz.
