I'm picking up my bike on OCT 1st!

Put a grand down on it allready. A friend of mine was selling his 97 GSXR600, I had em pull it out of the wanted adds, and gave him a grand to hold it till OCT 1st. Thats when i'll be able to pickitup/register it. So on OCT 2nd or 3d I should be on 2 wheels!

I hope it's a good friend. That's a long time to hold a grand for a bike. By the time you get it out it will be time to put it away for the winter.... Anyways I hope you like your new ride and I hope you have the gear to go with it as well.

Yeah, he is actually my best friends buisness partner, so its a safe deal, and hopefuly I'll have the month of october to ride it on nice days.
And yeah i got a Dainese jacket, joe rocket gloves, and 2 Shoei helms so Im set on gear
It's in good shape, and I'm getting a full set of fairings for it, so maybe over the winter time I can get a pimped out paint job on the spare set.

    Rizzla paintjob!

Kewl beens mang! see ya out there!

And what no riding pants???? You'll want to stay warm in October anyhow!! I dont wear the leather pants all the time, only when I know it's going to be a sick ass ride!, They should be worn always, you just never know! Leather can save lots of skin!
I may look like a power ranger, but I can save myself a lot of pain and hopefully no skin graphs!

Check out Brocken Cycles over the winter for some sweet deals of riding gear, last years gear brand new for a hell of a lot cheaper! Or check out www.newenoughleathers.com

    Good luck w/Gixxer, ride safe..

I'm picking up my bike on OCT 1st!

Thanks for the info man. I might get the leathers, I just don't want to look like a moron, cause I really don't have the riding skills which would require me to dress like Valentino Rossi , although that Tellefonica jacket does look sweet in leather, i just might get it

Being still kind of new to the sport or brand new is even more of a reason to have the right gear. (Sorry if I am preaching here)

You can buy gear that looks pretty nice now, like Joe Rocket has some cool looking gear!

I know what you mean by looking funny, I have gotten some strange looks in my full suit. Here look it's a power ranger.

Thats me Down in NC our Deals Gap trip 2 years ago!

That is the coolest picture. Ever. Do you have one from after you morph to form Voltron's head and chest?

:poke All I know about power rangers is that they were a shameless ripoff of one of my favorite childhood shows, Voltron. In which five brightly suited men/boys of indeterminate age piloted around giant metal lions (they jumped real high and had big, pointy teeth), which combined together to form an even larger flying robot. Who would then defend the universe from...oh I don't know, big lizards and other robots, I think. Godzirra. You know the drill.

Weren't you ever five? How old are you anyhow? Should I have referenced maybe Steamboat Mickey?

Older & wiser my son! * just for the hit you get 2

I am not "OLD" yet. Not 30... Getting close though..

I used to watch The Smurfs, Tom & Jerry, Hanna Barberra's showcase, Transformers, Go Go Gadget, Bug's Bunny & Freinds, The Flintstones, & The Jetsons. I cant think of any more right now.
My all time Fav was the Origonal Batman... Only thing animated were the action shots! "POW", "BLAM" !

It's when you DON'T have the riding skills that gear is MOST important.
