wow, some good style points there; and an easy way to drain the tank.

Sweet enthusiastic approach. The fist pump at the end is something from a 80's movie.

He probably should used his brakes. Or maybe turned when the corner came up...
Ah, the joys of target fixation.

It's really out of focus, but the first second or two of the vid shows him nearly highsiding and saving it. All in all, I'd say that was a pretty valiant effort.
I think he still could've saved it. I love hitting hip jumps on my MX bike.
"Came in hot, ran out of talent"
At least he's unhurt. Could have been a lot worse.
Just plain dumb.... That freakin corner claims so many bikes. I dont get it. I am sure most of it is due to such a high talent pool but that is just one of those" Ooooooo a camera, let me go really fast into a turn i have never takin before."
Or something like that. Glad the dudes alright but lmao over and over again.
If he would have done a wheelie he would have made it.
He locked up his rear brake causing him to go out of control.
I'm glad he is OK!
Did you see the vulture with the camera all ready for his next victim picture?
Video description says: "Rider of Yamaha R6 saves it but then goes straight up the hillside. Rider was uninjured."
The quantity of arm-chair quarterbacking present here is pretty amazing.
I must suck at my video watching skills. Because I can't tell if the rider had never ridden that corner or was a local who hit it almost every afternoon. I can't tell if he over braked, gave it too much on exit, or possibly got distracted by a killer set of jubblies being flashed his way. I've never ridden that corner and cannot tell you for sure what happens. I have heard it is deceptive and very easy to over-ride.
I do know he was dressed for the occasion and walked away. Both good things.
Damned shame to see the bike wrecked.
I was waiting for the first guy to go there. lol
This is one of the best part of an OPEN forum, we can assume, have fun and say what we want all for fun and to make conversation, and share goodies like this .
I dont think any one is "quarterbacking" but just sharing thoughts and enjoying an awesome video of guy who did not get hurt but really f'd up.
I assuming what I said because I have emailed this video guy before about why so many people eat it there. the answer was, " people go in to hot because the road is decieving, most are squids and have no idea how to ride....Video and pics make people faster (in thier head)
Have you guys seen the ones where the cars freakin shoot both lanes and the cops are there waiting. Love it!
I think it was the bikes fault. Those R6's are not know for the handling or track capabilities.

I'm just impressed with his windscreen head-butt manuever. That one's not easy to pull off.
I like the guy who tries to save it with his hand.

I have ridden that curve hundreds of times. Scottie and I stopped there On a trip to Cali a couple of years ago.
It's about 2 miles up from
The rock store on mullholland in agoura hills/Malibu area.
That curve is piss easy to take. the preceding mile or do is a different story. I think he was just posing and spooked himself.
