I'm with Oxx on this one. Some of the standards just weren't big sellers. Look at the B-King vs the Hayabusa in sales.

Don't speak so soon. I like the 'Rex, just a little intimidated by it's size / hp. Keep in mind I'm coming from a Ducati 2V, it's a big difference.

It's a pig, and as some one said, has 1100ccs of fury.

But it is much more comfortable than a 900SS. Plus it has a huge ass under seat storage compartment and a nice sized tail compartment.

Yup, the seat storage *shocked* me after Scottie showed me his with the battery mod.

All in due time I'll be looking. Keep an eye out over the winter / early spring for the "Find Tully an awesome do-it-all streetbike for under $4k." thread. I think there won't be much competition for the ZRX.

I'd like to think the 919 was a little before its time. I think the market has changed a bit and badass standards are more in style.

I think they should give the CB1000RR a shot here. I bet it'd do pretty well.

i'm in the market and fz1's sv1000's and the rex are all i'm considering. i did find a 919 i liked because it was heavily modded but it was sold before i could get to it.

i fail to understand the American bike market. these all are great all day ride bikes with huge power and comfort and they get little love.

I guess fully-faired bikes get the better percentage of the market share here when it comes to sportier bikes.

I've always felt that way about the Z750S. Seemed like a perfect package, but no one was listening. Wish they made a newer version, maybe call it an ER-8n or 800R. Yamaha's got the FZ8/Fazer8 in that category now, let's see if there's a market for it yet.

no i like those. i like the newer one's even better but there out of my price range. i had a zr7, a 2000 before it became the "s" with a fairing. underpowered for a 750 but a great all rounder. i traded it for an fz-1.

er-6 and ninja 650 are the same bike as explained to me from a dealer. stuuupid.

That's the info I'm looking for, thanks alot. I think alot of what make made me uncomfortable.

919 are rare so i'll let you know mom's in manchester had one last weekend in decent shape but overpriced. talk them down maybe? lots of fz-6's on e-bay.

919s are indeed overpriced compared to the competition.
