Honda RC213V Street Bike Price Tag Planned To Be Around $100,000

Per Fastwheels411.com - Right now everyone should be asking for money (as much as you can), and in return, they get a ride on the upcoming Honda RC213 V4 street bike from Honda. The joke will be on them though because there will be no rear seat. Yes, it is amusing to dream about owning a piece of MotoGP history as the Honda RC213V has dominated MotoGP in factory points.

The thrilling machine everyone is getting goose bumps about will display a 1,000cc V4 engine. Producing one hundred, and a crazy amount of horsepower. Being all serious though, the bike is expected to be the lightest, and most powerful superbike to this date. This sound like high expectations, but with a bike that cost $100,000, everybody (even your kids) better be expecting the highest performance coming out of this V4 masterpiece.

I doubt Honda will have the Repsol theme on the new RC213V V4 street bike. The reasoning is that there are already Repsol replicas that are out on the street right now. So the new Rc213V street bike would not look any different than a CBR 1000RR and the new CBR 600RR. It needs to be. I would not mind if Honda made a white, blue, and red paint scheme, but they better come out with something special.

This Honda RC213V street bike is something many will dream of having in their ownership. Unless you are Tom Cruise. Damn him and his Ducati Desmosedici rr.

And just to add - I will kill tom cruise if he buys this bike and shows off again!

If this is for real for 100k I think they missed the mark. Im sure its a bad ass bike but even at that its too much money in a crappy world economy. Maybe a few years ago but not now. Ducati had it right with the desmosedici at 65k.

There are *plenty* of worldwide buyers with $100k to throw away who will snap these up, and you'll rarely see them.

If you can drop 65k on a toy then you can drop 100k on a toy.

They don't need a lot more people with expendable income. They need 100. This economy hasn't hurt the really rich much; they can profit in a falling economy as well as a rising one.

Also, this bike is really more of a marketing exercise than anything else -- it's made in such small numbers that it doesn't really matter whether they make money on it or not. What matters is that they get people into dealerships to look at it and then ride out on a 600rr.

The RC30 was kind of like that -- I remember going into a dealer when they new and the bike was standing on a podium behind a rope.

It doesn't have to be just for super-rich poseurs. All we have to do is get every NESRian to contribute $20 and we can buy the Official NESR RC213V. Because I'd hate to burden anyone else with the terrible responsibility, I'll keep it safe in my garage and will schedule everyone's turn to ride it. Due to the anticipated heavy demand for this offer, scheduled rides for new contributors start in mid-2019.

this will shit all over the Desmo though. hell the Panigale already does that. this is gonna be a WSBK homologation special so they are gonna have to build a certain number of them. I've heard price as high as $120k, we'll see when it comes out.

Unless honda has plans to drop a motogp bike into WSBK i really doubt they're doing it as a homologation thing. Not that it's impossible, it would certainly be a pretty bold move taking a prototype bike built for GP. Building 100-150 street versions, then claiming it's "production" and running it against the theoretically lesser spec wsbk grid. That said, if they did that they would effectively kill their entire motogp program since the bike is no longer a prototype.

    WSBK homologation http://cmgonline.com/2012/11/intervi...-motor-europe/
it won't be the same as the GP prototype. not possible even for $100k. I bet it'll have lower spec stuff like metal valve springs instead of pneumatic, a regular transmission or possibly dct instead of what's rumored to be a $700k transmission in the GP bike, electronics will probably be a step lower and on and on.

I guess I'm confused then. Why would they bother building homologation bikes for a series that the race bike won't be used in? Or is the plan to use the RC as a replacement for the cbr?

not sure. we'll just have to wait and see. Johnny Rea would kick some serious ass on it though.
