Hot Wheels Radar Gun

Anyone have one of these $20 hot wheels radar guns. I saw the ad from Wally world and they were in there. How well do they work.. And how far away will it read a moving target??

Given the price I doubt very far... but curious if anyone has one..

prolly not very far, if it's over a few milliwatts in power, it could be used to jam radar maybe

If its the same base frequency it would announce your speed.

broadcasting a signal... I am this fast

Now if we could modify the signal down to say look like a 75 looks like a reasonable 48 MPH you'ld have something.

I am sure the frequency is way off. You could probably do some road side radar sign testing seems like fun.

I just checked it out last night. Pretty cool, except it says "speeds up to 100mph" . I still might get one just for fun. You could use it up at NHIS just for kicks, say, clock your buds in a few corners.

My girl got me one of these for Christmas. It actually works, but you have to be very still with it. Only goes to 100mph though.

Knowing your speed mid-corner is far more valuable than know it on the front straight.

I did a little research last night. I found out that one of my slot cars goes 812mph. Also, I found that my radar detector picks up the gun the instant I pull the trigger. The radar detector picks it up from alot farther away than the gun picks up me speeding by. Did I say speeding, I meant driving

There are 2 settings on the gun, 1:1 and 1:64. The box says it can read to 100mph. I'm gonna guess that means real life. As soon as I get a chance I WILL find out if it's accurate. I know for a fact that my truck goes 61 mph in a empty parking lot. If it was a slot car, that would be 3904 mph
