Husqvarna 701 SM vs. 701 Enduro

I'm looking into a supermoto and the Husky seems to be a top contender. Between the 701 Endure and SM, there seems to be almost no differences, except front brake, tires and suspension travel. Anyone have thoughts on the Husky, or the possibility of picking up an Enduro for less money and switching tires and the front brake?
    Thanks.

Is this for a street ride or are you planning on racing it?

You can get a new Enduro for about $10k. I doubt anyone will consider selling you a SM for under MSRP. If a street sumo is really what you want, my advice would be to get the SM. It comes all setup (different wheels, different brake, different forks) and you don't spend the hassle piecing things together. "Switching the brake" on the forks that come with the Enduro is probably not a simple affair (but for the street, the 300mm brake on the Enduro is surprisingly good anyhow, and would be even better on sticky 17s).

If you're thinking of tracking it, the calculus could be totally different since you might be looking to swap out triples / forks anyhow. The yahoo above would know better than I would.

I just bought an Enduro and freaking love it, sky-high seat and all. But it's a street bike I might someday put sumo wheels on, definitely not a track bike.

this is what you want for a 690/701 thats already street legal. kit with wheels and tires, rotor and caliper relocating bracket.Supermoto Conversion Kit: RoadRunner - Motostrano.com
the 690 kit has an add $300 in that drop selector thingy.
