Thumbs up Thought i'd get a little sentimental w/ a big "Thank You"

Joel's insurance thread made me think about what kinda experinece i have & i realized how far i've come in only one real riding season, and a the biggest reason for what i've experienced is because of this forum & its members.

I've done a 450 mile group ride w/ about 30-40 other riders which, among countless other things, helped me put just under 9000 miles on my bike in 7 short months.
I've met a number of great people that have somethin like a combined 1,000,000,000 years of riding experience to draw knowledge & experience from
You guys are the reason why I bought so much freakin gear.
You guys are the reason why I'm able to get into the sport as much as I do.
You guys are the reason I'm as aware of the inherrent danger and my surroundings as I am when I'm on the road.
You guys are the reason that I go to Louden to watch the races You guys are the reason I do track days.
You guys are the reason why I've learned so much about riding, racing and the sportriding community (not sportBIKE community... sportRIDING community).

Sooooo I just wanted to say Thanks... cuz w/o you guys i'd just be another idiot on a bike

Side note - I finally got to check out my new Bohn back protector & also fired up the Zeeixxsixar today for the first time since x-mas time...
now if i could just get it through the foot of snow in my back yard & out to the road

On a more serious note, that's really great hearing that shit Pete. Really. If THIS site helps just one person get their feet firmly planted and their minds in the right direction with regards to sportRIDING, I feel we've made our mark...

hehehehe, i knew i was gonna get some shit for this thread

but like Stonie said... It's true, NESR's made it's mark. And i'm sure it's not just me that's been affected. I dunno, I just thought it should be heard, and what better time than at the beginning of a new riding season

I owe Mike lunch for missing our meet-up on Sept 12th to go to the Italian bike show. I don't think I've screwed you over yet Wayne, so I don't owe you a lunch.
