[Group Buy - who's interested?] Reflective Rim Stripe matching '07 Crimson SV

I spoke to Tony at Planet Superbike about getting a group buy together for some reflective rim striping tape to match the '07 Red. I had looked around online for a while, trying to find a good match for the crimson metallic, but couldn't find any reflective tape that matches well with the dark red. I could only find either regular tape, or reflective stripes that matched the Ferrari/Ducati bright red (the '06). I emailed Planet Superbike (:: OFFICIAL PLANET SUPERBIKE WEB ::) to see if they could help come up with something.

The '07 Red looks quite fantastic with the color-matched rim-stripes, but the added safety of the hyper-reflective tape is certainly beneficial, not to mention it'll add some unique spice -- not too many bikes around Boston with reflective rim-stripes...

I cited these 2 pictures as examples for the color, citing that in the second one, the stripes seem a little too bright-red:

So, is anyone interested in going in on a group buy for some discounts? I'm not sure what the rates are, but I can't imagine them being more expensive than $20-$25 or so, and the more people who are interested, the bigger the discount. As soon as I have an idea of the interest, I'll let him know and he can get back to me with some numbers...

I would be all over this if I didn't already get some for my 06 SV. Install really wasn't that bad so long as you use soapy water to help get it on there and position. Squeege out the water and you're done. It does take a while, but it's easy.

Let me know what sort of price you can get. I wouldn't mind swapping out the current red tape for reflective red tape (though in 06 red, not 07)

I love my rim tape -- but i paid like 4 bucks for it. It's not reflective but......i guess i just wanted to change the look of the wheels.

i'd invest your time into something else
