Ideal bar width for klx110 blah blah blah

So I just traded up to a klx110 for my son Joey. He is 9yrs old. The bike came with mongo big 32" bars that are comical. I was figuring 28-9".
Any opinions? Just for general trail riding.

I found the Zeta Handlebar Simulator helpful: https://www.dirtfreak.co.jp/moto/pro...le_sim_eng.php

Doesn't look like it has KLX110, but still a decent tool to compare various Zeta bars.

Set him on the bike and have him just rest his hands on the bar with his eyes closed, where they want to land naturally. That'll give you an idea of where to start. Looking at Zeta's cool site, the Kawi KX65 and KLX125 bars are 29in wide, KX85 bars are 28.5in wide, the full size bikes are 31.5in, so I think you're in the right ballpark. Just make sure before cutting the bars down that you'll have enough straight section left for the grips/controls/etc after.
