Just make sure you use blue thread lock and torque them equally when you put them back on. But I'm sure you new that.... If you need the torque settings I can look them up for you in the shop manual....

The OE wheels are sourced from ENKEI -- an initial few were reported to be porous.

The recall "kit" is a complete rim, boxed with new rotor bolts & wheel weights.

that's pretty much what i did when i took the whole front end off my bike down at VIR for Peter Kates... i had to bring him my forks AND tripple clamps... kinda tough to take those off w/ a conventional front stand, so w/ the help of Peter, Degsy & a couple jackstands we did pretty much the same thing you did, but put one jackstand on each side & closer to the front to make it a little more stable... one stand in the middle like that looks pretty sketchy. but if she held, she held

You just have to be real careful doing it that way. A front end stand that uses a pin up in the neck is the best way to do it. I understand the whole not having money thing... but when you can if you plan on doing work on your own bike often you should think about one. ALOT less expensive than having the bike fall or scratching it up with a jack.

just my .02 or you could always borrow one....

    That's certainly a good indication.
